I enjoy reading and seeing the photos regarding the Citizens Fire Dept. My aunt altho only three years older than I is like the sister I love dearly. Jean is the widow of Thomas Hartz Sr. I live in Houston Tx and being able to view his funeral and see the amount of people that showed there respect meant a lot to me. I see a lot of names of family members listed on the members of the Citizens Fire Dept. I know Tom is looking down with his cigar hanging out of his mouth and smiling at his family, firemen and women and is very proud of all. The internet has given me a way to view the town and people that my mother was born in. I was born in coledale hospita and grew up in N.J. My mother Doris Walters Fisher spent most of her life in Tamaqua so again the information I am able too see is very comforting. I miss and love you Jeanne and hope we can get together soon. Thank you too anyone that has been there for Jeanne since Tom was called home. May God Bless Ya Al.

i know my department is expecting to get our new American La France 95ft
Mid-Mount Aerial Platform Truck on
June 1st 2009. the cab is panted already and the lights are wired and operational its sitting on its chassis ready for the ladder to be placed on it along with the rest of the back end.
once again nice squad and may it make you guys proud of it.

I see you guys still have E 782. I remember when you guys first got it. If you dont mind me asking where did E781 go because also remember when you guys got that one too. i no longer live in Tamaqua but i was just a young gun when i lived there. im now 18 and joining my home station which is Warrior Run Area Fire Dept station 9. our trucks except for 3 have the same scheme. you could check it out for yourselves if you dont belive me at www.wrafd.org
